Sometimes one line is all it takes for me to get excited. So many of my writings came into being or focus with just one line to kick it off. Often this is the first line, but not always. As I continue this act, or better yet practice, of sharing and looking into my work for some of the gems that can stand strong alone – I think where are all my good one-liners? The ones that hit as soon as they made it to the page. A part of me knows that my work cannot be diluted down to just these snapshots, but knowing how often one line is all it takes, I still respect them all the same.
Here are a few of my favorites that I have highlighted from other works. Although they support a greater body of work, I cannot deny that they are beautiful as standalones, and often trigger me to go back to a feeling, the rest of the piece, or a time and place. I hope others find value in them as well.

Awesome insight, as usual. Stay blessed. Love Uncle Dan
