When I decided to begin respecting photography as a true hobby, I made my first camera upgrade. I decided to get a Nikon Coolpix point-and-shoot camera. The idea was that this would give me some new technology, but not be too expensive as to make me feel like I needed to take myself seriously.

The first thing I did to feel out the camera was go to a local park and areas in my neighborhood. I just wanted to take in the space through this new lens and see what I could do.
It was fun capturing things I never thought I would have been able to before. The zoom on this camera was beautiful and worked perfectly for someone a little shy behind the lens to start
I remember feeling like I was opening up to something. I liked being able to capture beauty in these every day, seemingly insignificant things.

These are the images I collected from my first few outings with my Nikon.
